Cultural Maturity Model

The cultural maturity model developed by EEINC is based on the work of two noted psychologists Howard Gardner and Abraham Maslow. This basic foundation can be applied to individuals and organizations as it relates to diversity and cultural maturity.

Howard Gardner

Howard Gardner has questioned the idea that intelligence is a single entity, that it results from a single factor, and that it can be measured simply via IQ tests. He has also challenged the cognitive development work of Piaget.

Abraham Maslow

Maslow's primary contribution to psychology is his Hierarchy of Needs contended that humans have a number of needs that are instinct, that is, innate. These needs are classified as "cognitive needs," and "aesthetic needs."                                                                more
